Alphabet System & Type Design






  1. Wonderwoods is a custom alphabet system designed for titles and headlines. Its organic, quirky character is drawn from nature, the shapes feel grown rather than constructed, suited for the wilderness that inspired them. The system covers A-Z, numerals 0-9 and basic punctuation.

    Using Wonderwoods, I designed three motion posters on mnemonic bird songs, a way of identifying birds by the sounds they make. The posters focus on three birds commonly spotted in Boston: the Goldfinch, the Tufted Titmouse and the Northern Cardinal.
