The Little Pink Parrot is a children's storybook born out of a graduate school design project. The brief: take an iconic Paul Rand poster and iterate on it 50 times. I worked from his Fortune magazine poster, pushing the composition, color and form across 50 variations, then translated those iterations into a storybook for kids, inspired by Rand's own children's book illustration.

The Little Pink Parrot is a story about a parrot who goes on a wild adventure to find the box of fortune. At its heart, it's about self-esteem, the effects of teasing and acceptance.
