Its newest gallery, Governing the Nation, opened May 15, 2026 as part of America's 250th anniversary, funded by a $15 million gift — the largest single donation in NCC history. The biggest constraint came from legal, not design. NCC ruled out using the presidential seal anywhere on screen. I designed into it: "Constitution Daily," an invented newspaper that became the way every decision's outcome got revealed. As part of the design team, I worked on visual and UI design across From Debate to Document, Windows into Signers' Hall and Signers' Hall Table.&nbsp;All three interactives share one core system — consistent titles, UI buttons and type treatment throughout the gallery. Headers pair a formal serif with a gold script accent. Every button and notification was built to ADA contrast standards. &nbsp; &nbsp;From Debate to DocumentVisitors step into a delegate's shoes and argue out real debates from the Constitutional Convention,choosing between proposals sealed in wax-stamped envelopes, like Electoral College versus popular vote. Lowell Observatory is a research institution and public observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona, where visitors explore astronomy through telescope viewing, stargazing and the Astronomy Discovery Center. We didn't want visitors reading about invisible light, civilizations or sound data. We wanted them dragging, tapping and recording their way into it. I designed the visual experience for how 100,000+ annual visitors experience astronomy hands-on at the Discovery Center These four interactives show the range. &nbsp; &nbsp;Send Your MessageRecord your voice or photo to send a message into space. On confirmation, the screen becomes a transmission. A second screen broadcasts messages live to the room, so consent had to be built into the flow itself. FoundationClient BMX racing runs on split-second reactions and precise track engineering, this exhibit brings that to life for visitors. I designed the visual system and screens across three of its interactives: Build a Bike (assemble your own BMX build), Build a Track (build it, then race it), and Starting Gate (a live reaction-time leaderboard). Its now on a national tour projected to reach 1M+ visitors. &nbsp; &nbsp;Starting GateFour riders, one countdown. Each one reveals its function, specs and how it shifts between a race and freestyle build. UI popups flag any combo thatss physically impossible to ride. The fail and success screens were where I focused on UI messaging: "Bad combo! The brief: take an iconic Paul Rand poster and iterate on it 50 times. I worked from his Fortune magazine poster, pushing the composition, color and form across 50 variations, then translated those iterations into a storybook for kids, inspired by Rand's own children's book illustration. The Little Pink Parrot is a story about a parrot who goes on a wild adventure to find the box of fortune.
